Very rarely is this cheese made outside the Brie region but here we present one of those rare exceptions. Consequently there are slightly different results in flavour, texture and levels of ripening.
Brie de Normandie, coming as it does from a region famous for its camembert, has some similarities to that very well known cheese.
It is covered in a fine, bloomy rind which gives way to a sensational pale yellow interior. The texture of the interior is supple and creamy. The rind has mild mushroom aromas which are well balanced with delicate almost camembert like cauliflower flavour of the interior.
