Whether you study “affinage” in your spare time or you are simply after some basic knowledge, there is a cheese master class available to suit you!

Let our resident cheese expert take you on a cheese appreciation journey that will provide you with a complete sensory experience in a relaxed and fun environment. You will enjoy a deliciously inspiring selection of cheeses in perfect condition and an exclusive peek inside our world class cheese maturing room.
 
From beverage pairing to virtual tasting tours of France and Italy, these classes are not to be missed and once you have done one, you will want to do them all! Bookings Essential as places are limited.

Cheese & Chocolate - Wednesday 20 April 2016, 6:30-8:30, 25 Wright St, Adelaide $80.00 each

Chocolate is often paired with wine or spirits, but it is also a great match with cheese. Both are rich and savoury and together they can create some incredibly complex and intriguing flavour combinations. Do you start with your favourite cheese or your favourite chocolate! Maybe start with a triple cream filled with a delicious chocolate paste and graduate to a full flavoured hard cheese and see whether a mild milk or dark bitter style of chocolate suits your taste. There are so many variables that you might need to spend some time working out your personal favourite.

Cheese & Cider - Thursday 19 May 2016, 6:30-8:30, 25 Wright St, Adelaide $80.00 each

In the 17th century, cider was very popular among the aristocracy and beautiful flutes were made for serving cider to guests as we might serve champagne today. Like wine, cider is a fruit-based drink which can be sweet or dry, still or scintillatingly sparkling. Cider makers pioneered the ‘methode champenoise’ to put some fizz in their produce before Dom Perignon was even born! Apple and pear ciders in Brut, Calvados-aged, and classic Normandy styles are the perfect partners for our range of delicious goat, sheep and cow’s milk cheeses.

Now that the temperature has dropped and winter is here, thoughts have naturally turned to comfort foods. It is the perfect time for a cheese fondue or raclette, or an oven baked Petit Sapin. In this warming winter class you will also discover the mysterious Appenzeller from Switzerland and learn about the return to traditional Gruyere cheese making techniques in the village of Etivaz.
